Anyway...

Well I have some positive comments about being back here actually.... When I read my last posts it looks like I am going to commit suicide :-/ (who the hell said "well who knows?"???!! lol)

- I saw my parents and had a great Christmas with them :-)
- I have my car back!!!!!!!! I don't have to take the bus again :-p
- I can meet my friends on MSN, there's no more time difference now - well this is a bad one, cause I miss my US friends even more now :-/
- ok I'll think of some other reasons later.... can't think of any other one :-(

I'm going to bed, I hope we'll go to Germany tomorrow

White Christmas

That's what I was dreaming of...well I finally got it ;-) It kept snowing today, everything is white, I love it !! It's much better than rain ! And now it really feels like Christmas :-)

Last night I woke up at 4am and didn't manage to sleep anymore...what a weird feeling :-/ Is that the jet lag??? Not sure... Anyway I was tired and cold today, as a consequence...

Slawo told me it was raining in San Diego now...how bad :-( Anyway I told you the sky would miss me and cry once I was gone! hehe ;-)

We were supposed to go to Germany with my mom tomorrow but if there's little snow here, it's gonna be worse there so we're not sure anymore, it's kinda dangerous :-/ But I want to go there so bad!!! We should start early and drive really slowly, I don't mind spending hours in the car, I just want to be in Germany!! I'm so sick of France right now :-/

I left San Diego for real now :-( :-( :-(
I miss it so much already!!!! I kept taking pictures in the plane (window seat, lucky me lol), to see every inch of san diego from the sky ;-) I was crying the whole time when looking at the pics with all the people I was gonna miss so much...

Now it's been 1 day I'm here...
I arrived in Paris at 10:45, spent a lot of time to get my luggage back etc...grrr and had to struggle to get it sent to Bale/Switzerland, where I was going to go next. Finally I had to pay 60 euro for it which is pretty ok compared to the 240 I was supposed to pay.Then my plane for Bale was late and I finally arrived there at 2pm!!

It was raining there and it's still raining now at my parent's house...I feel so sad :-( Everything is annoying me: the weather, the food, the language, etc....Plus all the paperwork I have to do and things I have to catch up etc etc... :-/I think I'll soon go to macdonalds and order in Sanish lol

The weather was so nice yesterday morning for Christmas in San Diego... I can't believe it.I'm starting to wonder if the 4 months were just a dream- did it all happen for real?
I should keep my luggage like it is, cause it reminds me of the trip, I'm also freezing my ass wearing SD clothes... I know I should avoid that but well... lolll Magali please come back soon, I need a San Diego souvenir night right away :-( 1/2lol

Anyway I miss you all guys!!!! I hope to see you real soon!!!!!!!! HUGZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

I will be leaving sunny San Diego at 12:25pm... We just had a Christmas dinner at Renata, Fernanda and Camila's place. It was really cool and I felt like I really got to know them all only today. What a shame that they arrived when we were about to leave....

I am still struggling to get everything in my suitcase and trying to think of my priorities (clothes, gifts, school material etc... lol) there's just too much for too little space ............ HEEEEEEELP

Plus I just received Regis' email saying that actually he could not pick my suitcase at Paris airport which leaves me with a big problem now: what to do with the 40 kilos overweight????????? i feel lost... looks like France really doesn't want me to come back :-(

Anyway... have a happy Christmas all of you and see you very soon France and Germany!!!

Hi All...

The goodbye dinner is just finished now and Magali is packing the very last items. The computer is still hooked on but it's soon gonna go away with her. So I'm gonna be cut out of the outside world for 2-3 days now :-( :-( I might borrow Slawo's Comp, he offered me to, but still I'm not gonna be online that much. I leave on Saturday 25th in the morning, and I'll be at my parent's house on December 26th afternoon hopefully (if I don't miss any plane lol...)

I'm gonna miss you guys (from here...) and I'm so happy to get to see all the French and German ones again :-)

French Breakfast part II

Yes we did it again :-) and this time not only everybody was on time but we also had crêpes and christmas cookies in addition to cake and croissants! miam miam

There were the neighbors Steve, Slawo and Victor, our favorite Swiss Mario and Mirko, and Simon, Florence and their cute daughter Veia from Québec !
That was a lot but finally everything went fine!

Guess what I have for breakfast this morning?? Luckycharms brought by Mario and Mirko!!!! hehehe they're so funny (see older posts about froot loops, toblerone, lucky charms.... lol!!!)
I have no idea what to wish next guys...just kidding :-)

I'm still struggling with my overweight luggage... the transport company considered 40K as 0-100 and is asking 150euro to carry it from Paris to eastern France!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it :-(

Last day at SDSU...rituals!!

So now the last day has arrived...only a few hours left and I'm not considered a SDSU student anymore :-(
Today we have our finals: I already took the Finance exam, and I have Consumer Behavior this afternoon. I don't feel that stressed actually (erm should I???)

With Magali we felt it was really hard to concentrate yesterday night, lol.. Plus there was the Brazilian girls' double housewarming-/eduardo-birthday- party where we HAD to be of course ;-) They are our new neighbors (damn it's already the 3rd time I speak about new neighbors this week!!! it changed a lot lately)

Well anyway we went to the bus stop for the very last time this morning (we didn't even run!! first time ever that we weren't late lol) and we met Steve who was going to work so he gave us a ride :-)
Then we had our last moring ritual in the library (30 min Internet before class).
We just had our last lunch here (sushi this time!! damn we found a new cool place to eat...all that on the last day...)
Followed by our very last post-lunch ritual: Internet again ;-)
Pre-retail marketing class ritual (we are always late at this point too!!): stop at the coffee place to get a White Chocolate Mocha or a Coffee of the day+caramel syrup (slurp!!). Plus we can order in French hehe!! (see the pic in tuesday's post!!)
Tonight we'll probably miss the bus, or run after it -like we always do- cause it's never on time (of course everytime we are there it comes late and when we're late it comes early...can you believe this?? hehe) and miss the busstop because it's so dark outside that we don't recognize the buildings and streets LOL

That's a lot of rituals for only 4 months here, isnt it??? looks like we adopted san diego much more that we thought ;-) I DONT WANNA GO BACK HOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!! Well I have to, cause all the people I love are there, but one things is sure, I'll defintely come back soon :-) Oh didn't I just sound exaaaaactly like Tanieeeeeel??? hehehe I understand how you and Bart felt now :-( hugs...

FINALS!!! awwww...

Aujourd'hui c'est le jour des finals... je viens de passer haut la main celui de finance (bon bon, c'est surtout pour me convaincre moi-meme en fait lol), ou plutot je n'avais pas envie de me jeter dans la san diego river en sortant lol ;-) Reste encore celui de Consumer Behavior a 3h30 pendant 2h... ca va etre long!! imaginez 2h de QCM lol!

Mais la on a fait un calcul avec magouille et suffit d'avoir 2 ou 3 points pour passer la matiere, c a d avoir un C! donc tranquilou :-) Ah non j'oublias la finance.. bon finalement on aurait bien besoin de quelques points d'avance en market en prevision du F en finance lol!

Pour le management, c'est toujours le flou artistique.. aucune idee de notre note... how nice :-/

oulaaaa au moment ou je vous ecris, une femme en fauteuil electrique est passee a une vitesse fulgurante dans l allee... la graisse sors de partout, ca fait vraiment peur a voir :-O je vais pas finir mon paquet de M&Ms je crois...
N'empeche que c est l amerique dans toute sa splendeur... pas de honte!! mais ici nobody cares alors fuck it! lol

Slawo

Un petit coucou à Slawo, notre noouveau voisin :-) il est super sympa et vient de Tübingen en Allemagne. Il va bosser à la Jolla 4-5 ans (il est astrophysicien...ça me rappelle quelqu'un ça ... hehe). Je n'ai pas encore de photo de Victor, du Brésil, qui vient bosser aussi, mais ça ne saurait tarder ;-)!

Cette semaine on a rencontré plein de monde entre autre une troupe de brésiliens qui ont emménagé à côté de chez nous !! Ils sont venus avec Victor et Steve n'a bien sûr pas pu s'empecher de se les accaparer et jouer la mère-poule comme il l'a fait pour nous.

Nous, on est passées au second plan: pas intéressantes, elles partent bientôt anyway! sympa... Quand je vous disais qu'on va finir par le regretter!! ah ce bon vieux Steve va me manquer...

Bref aussi Stuart, notre voisin de voisin invisible (il habite de l'autre côté de la rue avec Dave de UK, Dominique de Hollande et Pinchu d'Espagne! On l'avait jamais vu!!! lol tjrs en voyage ou dans sa fraternité!)

Voilà pour les news...now let's go back to the final exams de merde qui vont encore me faire plein de cernes demain matin!! mais c'est la very last time hehe :-) Kiss

Healthy Food

Quand je vous dit qu'il faut sortir pour manger du healthy food!! regardez moi ça!!!

Ca fait au moins 1 mois qu'on avait pas fait de ravitaillement, imaginez nos repas... conserves, chocolat, mac do, chocolat, rien, etc.... pas très sain donc! lol Ca ne vous fait peut etre rien de voir cette salade, mais pour nous c'était le paradis hehe!!!

Aujourd'hui Slawo nous a ammenées au magasin et on a acheté pommes, tomates, raisin etc... unbeliavable!! tellement de fresh food! On en a quand même eu pour $75 et là on s'est souvenu pourquoi on faisait les fonds de placard pendant 1 mois: c'était cheap!!! hihihi
Bref, il a changé notre vie et désormais on aura vitamines, repos, joie et bon humeur :-)

Aujourd'hui encore un truc de malade!!! Mais positif cette fois :-) On avait ce take-home final exam à rendre en retail marketing today, et bien sûr Mag et moi n'avons pas tout trouvé puisque les réponses étaient de nouveau hautement subjectives, du coup on est allées voir le prof qui....nous a donné toutes les réponses!!!!! j'en reviens pas!!!!

Moi qui croyait que Keith était un lèche cul de première tellement bon qu'il arrivait à se mettre le prof dans la poche à chaque fois!!! finalement c'est vraiment le prof qui est si maléable et niais!!! enfin je vais plutôt appeler ça de la gentillesse... hehee

Toujours est il que ça nous enleve une belle épine du pied!! On vise un petit B pour ce cours!!

Autre bonne nouvelle, j'ai eu 87,5 à un research project en Consumer Behavior (yeeeha!!! option facultative en+!!!) ce qui porte ma note so far à >75%.... donc.....je passe de sûr!!! il faut 75% pour avoir C, qui équivaut à 15/20, et qui est la note minimale pour valider le cours!! Donc révisions modérées pour l'exam de Jeudi hihihi :-) Non je plaisante! En fait c'est surtout toujours ça de pris pour contrebalancer le D ou F que je vais me taper en finance!!!! raaaaaah c horrible cette matière!

Ah et encore un bon truc: notre rituel pré-cours de retail à 14H moins 5 était le stop au stand café tenu par un pti mimi qui parle un peu français!!! a Small White Chocolate Mocha with Whip Cream please :-P une bombe calorique qui va me manquer!!!!!! le mec est trop mimi en plus!!! et son copain blondinet est tout aussi craquant même s'il ne parle pas un mot de français ;-) On a eu droit à 2 croissants gratuits today hihi les rapias :-p

Sinon je cherche toujous comment acheminer mes 2 bagages de 30 kilos chacun de paris à cergy ou belfort... puisque mon vol paris-bale d'air france ne m'autorise que 20 kilos en soute (!!!!) ce qui est très pratique lorsque l'on rentre des states avec 60 kilos!!!! Y a t il un volontaire pour les pick up à Paris et me les garder 1 semaine? ou avez vous des conseils pas chers pr envoyer ou mettre en consigne les bagages??? je vais quand même pas acheter 2 billets paris-bale de plus pour avoir 3x20 kilos merde!!!! Une autre solution serait de prendre le train (bagages illimités) mais alors le lendemain de noel et en plus avec 10h de vol dans les pattes je ne compte vraiment pas me taper le metro et 4h de train!!

Un rayon de soleil enfin!!

Quand on croit que tout n'est que malheur et tristesse, il reste toujours un espoir... On a frappé à ma porte ce soir ... c'était le facteur (Pas pressé le facteur, à 18h!!! mdr) avec son ridicule bonnet USPS avec lampe torche intégrée, qui m'apportait un petit paquet de ma maman chérie!!!!! Enfin apparemment il venait du Saint Nicolas, qui s'était perdu en chemin alors a délégué l'envoi à Mummy!! Je sais pas si ça a qqch à voir avec la lettre postée il y a quelques heures mais toujours est-il que you made my day :-) :-) Les morfales que nous sommes se sont jetées dessus!! miam miam!! C'est avec regret et tristesse que je t'annonce que je me suis enfuie avec mon nouvel amoureux. J'ai trouvé la vraie passion et il est vraiment gentil, avec tous ses piercings, ses tatous et sa grosse moto. Ce n'est pas tout : je suis enceinte et Ahmed dit que nous serons tres heureux dans sa maison mobile, en pleine foret. Il veut beaucoup d'enfants et moi, tu sais, c'est mon plus grand reve.

J'ai appris que la marijuana n'est pas néfaste et nous avons decide d'en cultiver pour nous et nos amis qui nous fournissent en cocaine et en ecstasy. Je te demande de joindre tes prieres aux notres pour que la science trouve un remede au SIDA ; Ahmed mérite vraiment de guerir. Surtout maman, ne t'inquiete pas. J'ai 16 ans et je sais prendre soin de moi. Je te rendrai visite un jour pour te presenter tes petits-enfants... Ta fille qui t'aime.
PS : Maman, tout ca n'est qu'une blague. Je suis chez Magali. Je voulais seulement te montrer qu'il y a des choses pires que des mauvaises notes sur un bulletin. Tu trouveras le miens sur ma commode. Bisous

Et au moment où je publie le poste des SDF, Steve arrive et nous porte une assiette avec du garlic bread (pain à l'ail... oui la traduc je sais que c'est basique comme mots, mais c'est pout mon papa) et des nouilles au poulet, olives, herbes,poivrons, et aussi une bonne louchée d'huile d'olive hihi.

Ce plat est sa spécialité, il nous en fait souvent! ...et c'est pratique pour vider le frigo aussi ! Hihihi la mauvaise langue prend le dessus, c'est bon signe, on perd pas le moral ;-)

Il est trop mimi n'empêche, et ça tombe bien on repousse notre suicide à plus tard du coup :-)

J'aime bien cette photo parce qu'elle représente très bien la situation actuelle:l'assiette de steve, bon ben c le sujet du jour, c aussi un exempke des cochonneries k'on mange en ce moment:ça fait au moins 1 mois qu'on a pas fait de courses, à part des pommes ya 2 semaines, donc c très junk food :-/ pas le temps quoi! Ensuite on a un pti bout d'ordi, le seul, puisk le mien is dead, et aussi des docs de cours, signe k'on apprend, qu'est ce que vous croyez! lol, ah et pis l'appareil photo, ben oui on n'arrete pas pour autant, et là ya un sacré reportage à faire hein !! Et le tout directement parterre...ben oui les meubles st tous regroupés... super non? D'ailleurs vous pouvez admirer notre nouvelle moquette aussi...

Des nouvelles du front... Il est maintenant 13:30, Drame+2jours.

La moquette est posée dans le living room et en partie dans la chambre de Mag, toujours rien chez moi.

Et les voisins sont pas là du coup no shower ce matin! yeeeha
Quant au pipi n'y pensons pas ... 24h que je me retiens!!!! J'en pouvais plus alors je suis allée aux toilettes du fast food carl's junior à 2-3 blocs down the hill. Mag dormait encore et au réveil idem, besoin pressant!! Elle a choisi l'option pipi dans l'appart du bas, qui est vide depuis 5 mois! mdrrrr

On vit vraiment comme des SDF, et avec la guitare et les bagages dans le salon ça me fait penser à une roulote de gitans...

Toilet Disaster

After Magali's foto-story about my toothbrush's suicide, here's our bathroom suicide. Unlike my dear toothbrush who did bungee jumping without any bungee, our toilet & hot tub chose the drowning option. Or you can also call it death by asphyxia.

Why does everything around us commit suicide????? It must be really hard for everyone to know that we are leaving in 2 weeks but come on, life is worth to be lived so don't kill yourself!!!

OK let me start from the beginning... Yesterday night our toilet made weird noise and bubbles came out... we were expecting an alien to come out but it did not lollll so Magali flushed and it got back to normal, ough the water level was anormally high.

Then some dirty water started to come out of the tub (scary....) and we ran to the manager who of course was not able to do anything since it was 11pm... so he would call the plummer the next day. Good Night Girls....

The next morning I got woken up by noise coming from the bathroom and i thought i was in a nightmare when I opened the door: shitty water everywhere, including on my feet arghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was coming out of the toilet and tub... really fast. Anyway it was really hard not to puke cause this was so disgusting (But anyway the toilet was full already) ... I'm using humor but I can tell you I'd rather cry right now...
The apt was a big mess... water was going everywhere including both bedrooms and in half of the living room. We tried to stop it as we could and washing the water away etc... which was aweful since we all know where it came from...


Anyway the plummer arrived 2 hours later and put most of the water away but still the carpet was dirty. We had to move all the furniture out and wait for all the workers to come.

This looks like a Yard Sale...

Fortunately we have our neighbors and we basically spent the whole day at their place where we finally got a chance to take a shower and get dressed at 2pm. Everything got so fast since the wake up!

So the workers just put away the old carpet yesterday night around 9pm after having taken a long break the whole afternoon...We were so upset!!!

Actually they only put the carpet this morning, and stopped at noon. It is 7pm now and we're still waiting for them to get the work done: they put all the furniture in my bedroom so I can't go through and there's a deshumidificator in the bathroom which still looks REALLY nasty. I think they forgot it.... Again they're taking a x hours break and will probably finish the carpet tomorrow.... I am very upset right now. They are so lazy!!!

Hey guys if anyone plans to come and visit us, don't forget to bring boots and umbrellas, plus desinfectant.... 1/2 lol. We'll probably have to wash the bed stuff and desifect the bathroom at least before really moving in again.

We were saved by Eric the manager!!!


I cant believe all those crazy things of last 3-4 weeks happened for real... i am kinda scared, since we ll soon FLY back home... do u think our bad luck will make the plane crash?? its not funny i know :-(

Aujourd'hui je vous écrit en débardeur et tongs! La porte est ouverte, mais les stores à 1/2 fermés pour pas trop chauffer non+... Il fait 80°F c'est à dire pas loin de 30°C!!!! Quel bonheur, enfin un temps de saison :-) Et moi qui avais rangé les habits trop été, bien mal m'en a pris ;-)

Our new neighbor Victor from Brazil arrived yesterday night, we picked him up at the airport with Steve. He came with 5 friends that are going to do the 4-month internship with him at Convention Center, so we ended up being 9 in the van: the Brazilians stucked on the 2 back rows and Magali and me on the front seat, compressed between a pile of luggage and the window! lmao - It's a shame the car had black windows, cause we would have looked so funny from outside :-p hehe

Nov 28: METALLICA (!!!!!!!!) à San José!!! very last date de leur tournée :-) can you believe that???!! hehe ;-) Jamais j'aurais cru que j'irais les voir :-p Mais jme suis dit Renate c'est maintenant ou jamais, c'est pas en France qu'on aurait l'occasion de les voir comme ça et dans cette ambiance!! ça vaut vraiment le détour :-) ils iront loin ces ptis jeunes hihi

Déc 3: THE MILLIONAIRES à San Diego. C'est un "petit" groupe local troooooop bien!! Un petit groupe de glam rock tout droit sorti des 80's avec des big boots à talon, makup et combis moulantes hihihi!!! Imaginez la musique de Queen avec la voix de Bowie et le look de Poison... moi je craque 8-) !!!!
D'ailleurs ils repassent au Kensington Club next weekend! PRESENTE!!!! :-) hehe

Bon je retourne à mes devoirs :-( Trop de boulot en ce moment!!! Ah je vous ai dit qu'avec Magali on a mangé une glace en attendant le bus ce soir ?? Ben oui on est en Décembre et alors??? il fait trop boooooooooooooon :-) :-) :-)

My powercable is broken...I hope that's the only thing that is, or else I'm in serious trouble...

That's kinda practical though... I was thinking about getting a new computer soon since I had so many problems with this one. Now I have to.

Anyway I can't use it anymore. I am lucky Magali's got a computer so I'll borrow her sometime to give you some news from Hamburgerland :-)

ps : I am writing 2 posts about Thanksgiving and San Jose but it'll probably take a little longer for me to publish them... be patient!
